With over 7 billion people on earth somebody, somewhere right now must be chanting
Daimoku right! But how do you know?
Nichiren Buddhists believe that chanting sutra Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo can overcome all obstacles
and the baggage that karma brings to our lives.
It can feel like you are the only person for miles around that is chanting Daimoku, but you are not alone.
The Ceaseless Flow of Daimoku Campaign is Advancing Toward 2030: The 100th Anniversary of the Soka Gakkai
This application lets you chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo with other around the world in perfect synchronization.
You do not have to wait to begin on the hour, as there is no robot in the background pretending to chant with you,
there is no pretend people, if there is only one person chanting, then that is you - this is all in Real Time, your Daimoku matters.
When you join the application will tell you how many people are chanting with you and where; whilst maintaining your
Privacy at all times.
Ceaseless Flow of Daimoku was originally on an Excel Spreadsheet, with people having staggered chanting slots, but there is always bed time, and it was up to district leaders to maintain.
So if you imagine joining the ' the ceremony in the air ' is in the cloud on the Internet so when people join this, in real time, down to 1 hundredth of a second you know if someone has joined the flow, a bit like a pass the baton race, you can trip and fall and the flow is broken - so the baton of the flow can be picked up but someone somewhere else, or you could be the only person on the planet that is chanting and if you stop there is science or you can wait a little bit longer and pass on the baton.
I imagined what it might be like for 1,000,000 people to be chanting Daimoku together in the ceremony in the air,
and to determined to see that to happen.
CFoD is about what unites us than that which divides us, it’s about victory in our lives,
improving ourselves, our human revolution/evolution, becoming one within the Ceremony in the Air,
with all the other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas; supporting unity among votaries of the Lotus Sutra.
The fact that the ceremony takes place in the air signifies that it transcends the framework of time and space.
Nichiren Buddhism, unlike some others seeks to reveal the innate Buddhahood within, this can be a challenge for many to believe if you think that The Buddha is on a fluffy cloud somewhere, whereas others realize that The Buddha was once an ordinary person like you or I.
So the Buddhahood in Nichiren Buddhism is not the same as one that could be achieved in countless Yugas/Kalpa/Aeons
[...]
The feature of waiting countless Aeons is that it is never going to happen in this lifetime.
Nichiren Buddhism, is about your life in the here and now
Our Hearts Values
- Honesty - is the courage to be open and true to yourself
- Ethical - to exhibit natural decency
- Accessible - approachable, reachable where everyone feels safe heard and confident
- Real - Seijaku (Se-ja-ku) is a japanese aesthetic meaning 'tranquility in the the midst of activity'.
A calm state of mind in a busy life.
We often feel overwhelmed with everything life throws at us. Seijaku helps us navigate the worries and adapt to a calmer state.
Sometimes we need to get out of all the hustle and take a deep breath.
If you have ever visited a garden set amid the hustle of a busy city and felt energized, you have experienced the feeling of seijaku.
We can find serenity amid the noise of daily life.
We can remain centered in the midst of chaos.
We can find it by disregarding pointless distractions.
Nature wants us to pay attention to authentic ourselves.
Seijaku is often described as a state of energized calm.
It is a state of mind where you are calm through physical activity or mental activity such as focused Daimoku.
Serene Buddha-hood resides within us.
- Transformational - Creating and inspirational space to be creative and reach your full potential
In The True Aspect of all Phenomena', Nichiren Daishonin writes:
Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study. Without practice and study, there can be no Buddhism. You must not only persevere yourself; you must also teach others. Both practice and study arise from faith.
Teach others to the best of your ability, even if it is only a single sentence or phrase. (WND-1, p. 386)
About Me
I have been a buddhist since I was a teenager, but made this determination at a Mens Division Course at Taplow Court UK November 2015,
to show that Somebody somewhere must be chanting right now some where in the world.
Then what if there was always daimoku, would it make a difference, can we super-charge kosen-rufu?
I have been developing software since 1977, so thought how hard can this be?
Little did I know, any endeavor within this Buddhism you will discover equal and opposite opposing forces (those devilish functions) that block you at every turn.
The mobile App (APK) came out 2019 then the development platform got cancelled, so had to start again.
My story is about the making of CFOD.

This is not an official SGI site. Its for people who chant Daimoku, and its not just SGI members who do that.
I just happens to be an SGI member.
I have been a member for quite some time but I have experience of other forms of buddhism which I contrast.
I will avoid slandering other forms of buddhism with the dismissive aside of 'Its Provisional'.
